My approach is documentary and unobtrusive. I want to capture your wedding as it actually felt - the people, emotions, atmosphere and little moments that happen naturally throughout the day. I’ll give you some direction when it’s useful, particularly for portraits and group photographs, but I’m not interested in turning your wedding into a series of staged photos.

I keep portraits relaxed and relatively short. Usually around 20-30 minutes is enough to create a beautiful set of portraits without taking you away from your guests for a large part of the day. The rest of your photographs happen naturally as the wedding unfolds. We can also skip this entirely if you don't want to be taken away from your guests.

Most couples book around 8–10 hours of coverage, which usually allows enough time to photograph the getting ready, ceremony, couple and family portraits, reception and the beginning of the celebrations. The right amount of coverage depends on your schedule, so I’ll help you work out what makes sense for your particular day.

Yes. I photograph weddings throughout Cape Town and the Western Cape, including the Cape Winelands, Overberg, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Wellington, Franschhoek and surrounding areas. I’m also available to travel throughout South Africa, and internationally. Just get in touch and we can work out the details.

When direction is needed, absolutely. I’ll guide you through portraits and group photographs so you’re never left wondering what to do. But for the majority of the day, I prefer to let things happen naturally rather than constantly posing or interrupting you.
