First off - Thank you. This means a lot to me. Teaching is something I love a lot, and you're helping create a space for me to do so.
So, here's the deal:
You've just signed up for the lighting workshop that's going to kick your ass into gear. If you don't know a thing about flash, I've got you covered. I'll be teaching from the ground up. If you DO know how to use flash, the very beginning of the workshop will be a great time for you to audit what you're doing, and correct any issues you might be doing already.
Once we've got the basics on lock, we're going to get to the good stuff. We'll start off with some Studio work, and I'll show you how to make dramatic, beautiful light in studio. Stuff like this:
After that, we'll head outside and I'll show you how to make ambient light that looks 100% like natural light, just nicer. Yes, I just said nicer. Look at this:
If you haven't already, please go ahead and add me on Facebook, so that I can invite you to join my Workshop group on Facebook. This group will be a place for you guys to get to know each other a little better, and maybe start sharing your work. You can also use this space to tell me what you'd like me to teach. If there's something specific you'd like me to cover, please let me know. I'd be happy to tweak my workshop if it means you'll get more out of it. Please use this group as the place to contact me about stuff regarding the workshop - I'm in the process of getting a number of big projects off the ground, and I'm planning a couple of other workshops as well, so I want to keep my emails limited. Feel free to start polls or make suggestions in there. Go ahead and introduce yourself to everyone else when you join. There are people from previous workshops in that group as well.
Please go ahead and fill out this form for me.
That's it! I'll send you the address to the venue closer to the time.
Keep well, and please let me know if you need anything else.
Again - thank you.
